changing color need help!!
I'm changing the color of my hatch its currently stock dark blue (92 civic hatchback DX). I am painting the car BMW silver metalic. I was just wondering if I needed to primer the car before painting it?

If you think the paint that is already in place can be a good base for a new paint job, then scuff the old paint then primer, then new paint.

You need a good sealer. I use PPG and have never ran into any problems. Here is a black sealer, but in your case you will use grey.
