95 DX. If it is in gear driving and I hit the gas it bogs or overloads or something. I had a friend behind me the other day and he said my car stinks and it was smoking everytime I hit the gas. It was supposedly a dark gray smoke. Any ideas if this might be clogged cats or something else that is common? Car has 182k

 

try doing a full complete tune up first. new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor and oil change (etc.)...

if you've already done that, tell us more about your car. stock motor? what's the smell? smoke only on acceleration?
