F20B into 93 sol
ok, ive got a couple questions relating this swap, anybody heard of any problems with said swap? and is the f20B block the same as the F20C? i know the f22s are diferent so i was wondering if the 20s were.
the F20B is the same as putting an H22 into a del sol. and the F20B and F20C are two COMPLETELY different motors. Other than the engine code and displacement they really have nothing in common.
thats funny, the block is the same in my neighbors front drive 3800 chevy v6 as his sons rear drive 3800 v6, why would this be diferent? the only diference would be the tranny not the block concerning drive line
yeah actually i am if your refering to the 2 3800s being the same, my neighbor's buick locked up and the replacment engine that went in came from a wrecked 2000 camaro v6

i wasnt sure if they were diferent (figured they were but wasnt 100%), and ive chosen the f20B for the high compression and fact its not an extremely common swap

you obviously haven't compared and s2k motor and an f20b.
Christ on a crutch.

like what, responding to someone who isnt even you? look douche bag i was using it as an example, rearwheel and front wheel is usually dependant on tranny not block, i wasnt sure if they were the same block or just engine code, your previous comments are pointless
My previous comments are pointless?
it's like the h23 with ATTS, that h23 came out of a prelude just like the h22 did, but a regular h22 block wont fit right on a regular h22 tranny or a b-series tranny because of how the block is shaped.
I'm sorry I got you're feelings all hurt, you obviously took me too seriously. Calm down.
The f20 is a fine motor choice, it's rev savvy and can be paired with a b-series tranny for ease of installation or you can custom fab some mount and run it like an h22.
On the exterior it's virtually identical to an h22 so It uses a lot of the same parts.
Another advantage is it will have a superior intake manifold to the h22.
Fine choice.
