Default painting ls meshies

I have a 93 eg, its primered green (i'll post some pics later in the thread) and i just picked up some ls meshies from a friend. im going to be putting some new tires on them soon, and while the tires are off i wanna hit the wheels with some new paint (since they're painted a horrible looking flat black). so im wondering what color you guys think would look good. just lookin for a few ideas. im down to either paint just the spokes and pollish the lip (not sure how to pollish it though) or to do the whole wheel one color.

gimme some ideas please!!!

What the hell is the point of buying expensive wheels for a 14 year old car that doesn't even have paint?

it doesnt have paint cause i like primer. lol not really, but a built motor took the cake over paint, but it will have paint very soon.

and why the expletive would i throw the ls meshies away? Volks are over rated anyways. i like oem wheels.

thats what i was thinking. im also trying to find a color that will look good when i paint it next month (painting it that element green color...the more pastel one, not the bright green). and black or bronze would flow well with that color too.

I painted my meshies the other day. I stripped them down and masked off the spokes then I used Duplicolor wheel paint(Graphite). Came out really nice.

If you're going with the green color just mask/prep the ls wheels really well and it will look amazing.

Just take your time, I'm sure it will turn out sexy.

I'm with you. Everyone is too worried about what they're rollin' on, but they forget about the most important thing, the motor.

finally someone who agrees. everyone in my area is like "dude ****** paint it all ready" and i could care less. all my homies in the area with paint are 1.) stock still with just wheels maybe or 2.) light motor swapped and always getting pulled over cause they're flashy.

my car has yet to get rolled *knocks on wood* . i say screw paint till my turbo is done!!

im thinkin bronze with a polished lip. or do you gys think i should just bronze the whole rim?

and if i do polish the lip whats the best way? i mean i hit my steelies with air craft stripper then painted them all one color. should i just strip these that way and go from there&gt;<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SneezinCD5 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I painted my meshies the other day. To polish the lip just take an electric sander and use progressivly finer grain paper on the lip.

Then get a buffing wheel/polisher and hit the lip after you're sanded it with like 2000 grain.

use a metal polish then meguiars polish.

Then laquer it with clear laquer so it stays minty fresh.
