looking at maybe picking up a used 600rr or even an 07. i like the look of the 05/06 better than the 07, but i dont know enough about the bike to make a decision. is it worth picking up a used 05/06 or getting the 07, money isnt a issue by the way. so if anyone could tell me the main changes besides the weight loss of the 07 id be very appreciated. thanks

I knew someone would get me on the money is not and issue line,
if im financing i might as well shoot for the 07, but i like the look of the 06.

if it's your very first bike, and you're financing, i would say don't get the new bike.
I think financing new bikes is a huge mistake as a first bike. You'll end up making payments on a much higher price than you could ever sell it for.
The 05-06 RRs are still awesome bikes, but they aren't as light or as comfortable, or as powerful as the 07s.
If this is your first bike, i say sign up and take MSF before you even go shopping.

reading pwns me.
Finance away then. You obviously already know what riding is like and about, and you're interested in it enough to get another bike. You won't be dissapointed with the 07, and i think it's worth it much more than the 05-06.

You'll get over it.
You'll get over it.
Get the '07. Without a doubt.
If you have the money..there's almost no reason to not buy the newest model of most street bikes. The technology changes so fast and improvements are made every year that you.re just selling yourself short if you.re not taking advantage of the best that.s out there.

What's the point in buying a used one, for a little bit more you can buy a new one with warrenty, and resale value will be much higher aswell. The difference between the 06 to the 07 is huge, a lot of people will agree. Too many changes really to list, but overall a great bike. Although I havent put a single mile on mine, I've ridden a few at work and they are awsome. Im just waiting for my parts to come in bah
someone mentioned ergonomics...............thats gunna be the main selling point for the 07. i sat on one yesterday and it feels far more comfortable than my 06. also, its lighter and the HESD is included, which is a big selling point for track riders. its night and day anyway u look at it..........

1k a year isnt too bad for a new motorcycle. i only pay 130 every 3 months under my policy..............
