Im finally part of the gang
'96 spec
Interesting story, when I first got to Japan, I had looked at this R. Long story short, a friend picked it up, now im the owner. History of the car, Japaneese guy owned it, then a a chic bought it, had no idea what it was...litterly got grocerys with it, that was all....then a guy by the name of Dan (dan in japan) bought it from her (offered her money at the ATM, litterly) then my buddy Don bought it....and today I took possession of her. Very clean, Dan babied it, Dons wife drove it (he has a DC5R) now this is taking place of my built EG6.
Long dream of mine. Its finally come true.
Plans, Ive gotta get rid of my hatch, so my Cusco zero-1 are gonna be taken out of my EG, my bride brix seat is gonna go in the R, tie bars maybe, OMP wheel is gonna go into the car, Neova's all the way around...and DRIVE the hell out of it. Gymkhana is sunday
It already has a J's front induction, coilovers, and that is about it. Edit, also forgot about the toda timing belt, and it has just went through a hardcore inspection at Honda about 8k miles ago...probably not that long ago...

my car and the new R

the family right now...
Long term, probably use this to restore a R when I come home in 09

it would make you sick if you knew what I paid for this.
although, being honest, you dont come across them to much for this price. I paid less for the car than h motors sells a swap for.
Buddy of mine leaves the island on saturday on orders and the buyer fell through. So he pretty much called me and begged for me to buy her and the rest is in the pics. lol.

I believe! When I visit my company's factory in Saitama, I see so many good condition old car so cheap and nobody wants since no value in Japan market.
My coworker buy these for their housewife to trash for few years and dump it since
not worth paying the inspection cost.
