ok i have a problem i have a 94 hatch dx..for some reason when i accelerate hard like when racing or when my adrenaline kicks in lol..my car kinda shifts to the right then when i let go it goes back down to the right position..what could this be ..i have brand new inner and outer tie rods and just got an alignment..wat can this be? btw its a d15b7 w/basik boltons
That is called torque steer. The eg has one long cv shaft and one short cv shaft. When under acceleration it will pull to the side that is putting more torque to the road, that would be the short side. This is much more noticeable with a car with-out powersteeering.

Any car makes enough power, its the difference in torque to the road between each wheel that makes it pull.

Never felt it in my cx or my friends dx. Only on a b16 EG with no LSD.

That's for real. My little hatch doesn't have power steering, and she used to do that like hell all the time. Well, I've since gotten an engine with an LSD, so the problem has noticeably become less prevalent. LSDs FTW

so there really isnt nothing to do about this? its scares the **** out of me cuz when it whips back hard it makes me feel like i going to loose control
hold the wheel tighter. happens to me all the time. its like getting the tire caught in a groove on the road. you should no when its coming since your foot does all the work. when you let off the gas or hit the gas, start the counter steer. If it feels like your gonna lose control and cant handle it, get a car with power steering.
Serious, back in the days without the LSD, I just made do trying like hell to hold that wheel!

The axle replacement Idea isn't a half bad one.
When i'm goofing off in my stock dx I don't notice a pull to either direction, just forward.
But I recently had an ex tranny put in with new seals and all, so you might just have a little leak as well.

well maybe you can kiss my *** and suck my nits you ******* ******* did i ask you about how fast my dx can go no..if you have nothing tech related to say get the expletive out..to other posters maybe i will try new axels..
Before you get to bent out of shape get the front up in the air and on jack stands. craw under and check out your lower control arms inner bushing. I have had that fail before and cause the same symptom. The car would pull to one side under gas and as soon as I would let off the car would drift back. The people that did the alignment mist it. Replacing that took care of the problem.
you shouldn't be able to move the arm in or out or back and forth by hand it should have no play in it. I bet if you look real hard at the bushing if its cracked or worn and the bushing is loose it s time to change them out. It is a lot of work but you might want to change them over to poly. It is well worth the time
Its been year since I got mine your just going to have to search. I used energy suspention master kit it gives you everything but the rear trailing arm bushing but that is okay that one really needs to stay rubber for it to work right. Also don't use the polly dust covers for the ball joints, or tie rods they just let crap in and cause the joints to fail quicker.
