How could retain my stock ride quality and drop a inch ?
Question in the title.
The Car is a 1999 EK and I want to run a full coil over setup.
I wanted to run GC + Koni's but I don't think a stock ride quality would happen with those. I don't want to bounce !!! thats the main thing and I want to go over speedbumps with no problems.

hahahahhahahahaha I have H&R sports and KYB AGX's that is by far the worst ride quality I have ever had in my life. I need to change things up a bit.

Not sure what you're talking about...H&R sport springs coupled with KYB AGX shocks makes for a great ride and gives the exact drop you're looking for. I've installed that combination on many cars - and am about to do so again this weekend - and I've never had a complaint whatsoever. If the ride quality is bad, there are three options:
1.) you installed something wrong.
2.) the suspension is damaged - bushings, bent control arms, ruptured balljoints, etc.
3.) you don't know what the hell you're talking about when you speak of "ride quality"
If you want, you can use Tein S-tech coils on stock replacement shocks (KYB GR2, Tokico Blue, Autozone specials, whatever) and that will give you a reasonable ride without lowering you too much. Overall, though, you sacrifice comfort for handling. That's just how it goes. You can have it soft and squishy or you can have it firm and reactive. Pick your poison.

I don't think anything will feel like stock where you cant smash into anything you want. I have Omni full coilovers right now (sport springs) and some big *** bumps I don't even feel but I can feel some small pebbles. Its weird. I like them for daily driving though so far.
I'm really hoping that H&R Sports Springs are the red ones so I don't sound like a dumbass. The suspension is perfect, No blown shocks, Rebounds great, but the ride quality is horrible. I don't like bouncy rides . I will take a picture even a video when I get home of the ride quality .

Yeah, that's what I figured. The H&R Race springs are not meant to be used with KYB AGXs. AGXs don't deal well with being lowered more than 1.5 inches. My brother has H&R Race springs on his car and it rides like a brick - very jarring, but not bouncy at all. Odds are, if you've had the KYBs coupled to those springs for any amount of time, they're blown.
I suggest getting H&R Sport springs and new shocks that aren't blown. That'll give you a decent stance that's not too low and no bouncing. Maybe you can find some OEM GSR shocks. That would be a nice combo.

^^ I agree, if the H&R's were paired with an agressive shock like illuminas, the new skunk2 maybe, or definately konis, It would be a great ride as long as you don't live in LA suburbs.

With either H&R sport or race you'll be dandy.

If thats all you will drop by as well get springs right? Coilovers are expensive and the best ride quality are in the springs designed with a preset weight. I had tein s-techs that rode more comfortably that stock and the drop was pretty mild. 1.5" 1.7" which isn't enough for you to scrape anything.
What about the Eibach prokit? Thats an even milder drop but I haven't heard anyone mention those springs so whats the scoop?
ground control + koni gives an awesome ride. Koni has the 3 level shock perch adjustment so you can go lower/higher and have different rates of shock travel. only problem is you have to take em out to adjust.
