Default lowering the oem drivers seat..

searched here, found nothing. did some searching on s2ki, and as everyone knows their search isn't all that great. from what i gathered the only rail that works with the stock drivers seat is the bys. is this correct? has anyone here used it? is it worth the 3bills? tia.

purpose? do you have long neck? hahah kidding..

just fabricate it.. change the mounting points and it would required cutting and welding..

my friend loves his BYS mount.

otherwise you can pound out the stock pan. its on s2ki.

you have to search at the BOTTOM of each specific forum. not at the top where it will do a general search. it gives you much better search results that way.

I have the BYS rail. It lowers the bottom by more then the back, so it kind of puts the bolsters in a strange location. It seems the seat bottom is lowered by more than 20mm, more like 40mm, and the seat back is lowered the 20mm advertised.

If you have an 06-07, mount the seat position sensor to the front rail of the BYS rail. I drilled/tapped the hole and bolted it in. Seems it is there to detect when the seat is close to the steering wheel, so mount it so it isn't too close to a metal tab, because thats how it detects the position. If you remove the seat in an 06-07, you should see what I am talking about.

lol i'd rather skip the fabricating and just get a new rail.

i dont have it yet, but i'll most likely be getting an '02. so when installing the bys rail do you have to relocate anything?

thanks for all the responses.
