props to b18c5-eh2 (tom), lip and everyone else for defending yasu's car in post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=196827 obviously some people can't tell the difference between rice and IMHO, the sickest roadrace civic in the states. i spoke to Roger Foo the day before the memorial day race (i think i might have insulted him, sorry roger ) and he expressed his desire about driving yasu's car. so, i guess, in some peoples eyes he is a ricer then too, eh? sorry for the rant, continue on in your H-T business......

Much props to Yasu, he is a great guy, very helpful with my ATS product. The car is sick, like mine what a clean looking perfect race car. Don't hate the man for the paint job or the rice crap, is a race car own by a respectable man, not some punk kid.

How many WHP is that ride again rod? 250 or so, UNTUNED!? Or, I may be totally off, so please give us the full rundown of Everything on Y's hatch that you know so We can fully appreciate what he invested.

instead of looking past the shell, that's all they saw. sure, at first glance if the car had nothing in it, it might seem ricey.

say, another one of those so-called "SHOW" civics with their stock sohc motors.

but one look at those itb's and that beautiful roll-cage and one should know already. even if they don't know who the owner or the shop that built it was.

Now, I don't know Yasu personally, but several people that I am friends with do (mainly DJ, the camera man) , so I know most of the details behind Yasu, the Meccanic shop, and that car, so I can appreciate that (and this) thread. LOL....

That's soooo funny that someone thought Yasu's car was rice... just goes to show how quick people are to judge without bothering to get any facts straight. What's even funnier is how quickly other people were agreeing with the other threadstarter.

What made it even funnier is that he had that paint job on his Integra (and now the Civic) before the Realtime racing team hit it big... LMAO.. this was a really good one!! I love ignorant people... they are so amusing....

Thank you all for the welcome. I actually was a long time member of this site (back when it first started and split from h-a.net...not sure if I can post the name, so I'll just abbreviate). Since then I've had a CL, and now an Acura TL Type-S, so I spend my time on the CL board where I'm a Mega-Mod, and the TL board where I'm a mod of the TL-S forum. Some pictures of my car are on my site. They will be updated after this weekend as we're having a big east coast meet on Sun., so I'll be snapping some new pics. It's pretty stock, but some things have changed, so I need some new pics at new angles ...

Yasu is the man ..... I met him back in 98 - 99 at Pocono. He just started to learn how to race his ITR then. We would BS alot and I was always impressed when the dudes from the Meccanic shop would drive his car. Those ******* were fast.

Well I kinda fell out of the race scene and ran into Yasu at a Nasa Autox ...... i come to find out that he is Mr. ATS. I was like ha ha ha wow ..... no **** ....... can you hook me up? He was like: " No"

Although there was no deal ..... I still think his cars are quick and put together very well.
