i think it might be a little different because they have that torque mount on the top pass. side. but i would buy it anyway if i were you, it has to have a kit coming if one is not already made.

Yup, should be. All K series are Cable Tranny's.

i just read something that says the tranny might not drop in because of the mount. supposedly its built into the tranny and you have to use a tsx tranny. don't know how true that is though.

You need to get its complete wiring harness and ECU. Im not an expert on K series, but its a soemwhat different platform ( other than its shape, position and size, which is obvious) than the D/B/F/H series motors, making use of a MAF sensor.

well in that case expletive the a2 becuz those dont come with LSD...z3=LSD. Though the current 05+ A2's are running 10 exra hp and a little more torque. But the z3's LSD tranny makes up for the extra 10hp the a2 is pushing out

electronic throttle body (drive by wire) & NON-K-pro'able ECU = FTL & no you can't just swap parts on... engine harnesses are different

FYI the '05+ rsx-s has a k20z1 motor - i believe SAE HP ratings changed in '05 or '06 which slightly decreased HP ratings FYI

to the OP - I doubt your uncle would sell you the motor & transmission for $1500... his insurance company would give him like $8,000 less for the car. also do you have an extra $4000-$6000 to get all the necessary parts to put a K-swap into your eg?

I agree, the k20z has that crappy Drive By Throttle + the mounts are a bit different so some custom fabricating might be involved though $1500 is a steal. You can pawn that off for much more

lol it would actually be rated higher if they used SAE hp ratings for pre '05 cars

hence if the '05 rsx-s was a '03 model it would be like 220 hp

google "sae hp rating"

Basically they came up with a new system to rate hp. The new HP rating system has a stricter scale that the previous so it says HP went down on almost all new cars after the new rating came out.
