Default JDM Front End Conversion

I did a search on this but I couldn't find any type of write up on how to do one. I'm trying to figure out exactly how much work goes into doing a front end conversion on my Type R. My friend works at a body shop so he could help me do it for a lot cheaper than taking it to a shop. If anyone here has done one themselves or watched someone do it I would appreciate any info. One question: is it bad for the car's frame to cut out the current radiator support and re weld the jdm one in?

Thanks for any info.
Jon

What I meant by bad:

Does it cause the functionality of the car to wear down such as the frame twisting or anything like that? Because I still want to be able to take it to auto x or on some back roads and drive it like it's suppose to be.

Thanks for finding and doing a write up. I did a search but for some reason it didn't pull that up. Do you still have some of the pictures from when you did it? Some of them don't come up. Have you since welded it on? So did you use your oem radiator? What did you use to cut off the extra metal before putting on the headlights? Do you JDM fender liners or are they the same (I think they are, but just thought I'd ask)? Did you paint over all those bare metal cuts you made and what did you use?

Thanks,
Jon

Why do you boo the JDM front? It should have been sold that way here in the first place. To each there own, but I'm in Missouri so you never see the JDM front here, it's not like Cali, 95% of people in the midwest are ricers. The reason I want to do it is because I had hail damage on my car about 4 years ago and the body didn't look bad but the hood was ruined so I replaced it with a CF one (which now looks like poop and is all faded) and pocketed the money which later went to good use for buying a house. Then I put the car in a ditch by going way to fast around a corner and the back end came out and I was in a full drift, by the time I straightened it out I went into the ditch on the other side of the road but luckily I was parrallel to the road so I didn't do too much damage except for putting a dent into my front bumper on the driver side below the turning signal and scratching up the front lip, so I bought a CF lip that covered the dent in the bumper. Well now I'd like to put everything back to original but by the time a buy a hood and a bumper and repaint all of that and my front lip, it's going to cost quite a bit of money, so I figured why not throw in a little more money and by the JDM front end.
