Here is a "How to" and progress of the progress of our cars. Jdmjeff's (Jeff) white Eg hatch and electric_rex's (Josh) EF crx. Please feel free to bust me out or comment on anything done on this thread. Its not the greatest eg/ef build thread but then again im not Hybrid93hatch either lol..... I/We will have pics of nearly everything done to the car. Bodywork, sheetmetal work, welding, wire tuck, custom jdm y0 paint booth ect. THANKS
Josh is going to post pics of his rex tomorrow. The deadline on this build is Monday May 14th.
BODYWORK PICS PAGE #1
Using a wire brush (your best friend in a build like this) to easily grind away the metal to get ready for the welder.

Use a #3 philips head screwdriver to dent in the holes for the "H" emblem so you will have room to weld up the holes shut and be able to swipe the bondo without the weld showing though.

I just liked this pic

the 10mm bolts that hold on the license plate were spinning freely so i just ripped them out with the vice-grips seeing its all getting shave.... just how i like my girl

My boy welding up my hood

Me grinding off the welds to get ready for body filler

When blocking the car i tryed 150 grit but my ancient old paint was hard as a rock so i dropped it down to 80 grit wich was perfect. When blocking out a car always keep the block to where it sit flat on the surface then make long cross-hatching strokes. Stop when you see metal. When whiping bondo make sure you wipe if from high spot to high spot... let it dry and block the filler down until you faintly see metal then stop to insure that you dont go farther down than the hightest point on the hood.

Make sure you wipe down the surface BEFORE you sand to prevent any oil and/or dirt to get between your paper and the paint. It also prevents fish eyes in the paint.

Jdmjeff swiping Bondo.

For $hits and giggles...

Well Guys this isnt jdmjeff's this is electric_rex's project log. 2 liter itb gt30r
If i want you guys to know anything about my build its that its going to be one of the only boosted itb setups on here. Any way now on to the build log.

here is a shot of the rear. gotta love it when a girls got a nice ***.

and a crappy shot of the front end.
anyway. i completely took out the motor and gutted the entire car. do dash no pedals. all that was left inside the car was the damn expletive.

1st things first
- tar is a biatch.
-i tried the but and tar remover stuff from advanced. -$35
-then i went back and tried the antifreeze method. -$21
so i decided to but 40lbs worth. dry ice is $1.60 a lb.

this crap is freezing cold.

this is obviously a before shot.

speading the ice everywhere.

fifteen minutes later i couldnt wait any longer

is "HAMMER TIME"

45mins later and about 5 lbs. of sweat lighter

this was probably the worst part. paint thinner made things alot easier.

pretty much done.
after all that crap i was really bored with the interior so i went to work on the body.

i got trigger happy with the saw

i must say she looks way better with a mini skirt on

you should have taped the window off, i was shaving the same washer nozzles on "atheists" turbo eg before i painted it and i didnt tape the window before i ground the welds and it etched the ***** out of his glass.

the welds were done with the hood off and i put the hood back on the car to block it down because that was the only stable place that the hood wouldnt move on me
