Thought you guys might enjoy this...
I am mostly in members and kills, but this seemed appropriate here too.
I was visiting my Mom this past weekend and she came across this pic... It is a car my Grandad was building sometime in the 50's - no Altezzas, but non stock taillights... Translation of text follows:
The car is a 39, 40, or 41 Plymouth - I remember him talking about it, but can't remember the exact year.

TEXT OF NOTE:
This is a hot rod. This is what I am working on in my spare time. Looks rough, doesn't it? When this picture was made, I had just installed the engine. It is a 100 HP V8 (Flat-head Ford for the uninitiated); stock but it isn't so bad. I have the whole car in prime now. I have inset 51 Pont(iac) tail lights in the rear fenders, and as you can see, 50 Ford head lights an a 48 Plymouth dash which doesn't look so bad. Out of Room
Pretty neat, huh?

No, this car is long gone - at least from my family. Don't know exactly what became of it and since my Grandad passed in 2000 I guess I never will...

Thats really neat man, I always daydream of restoring an old old car.
Edit: My grandpa was in love with all his Studebakers, I always wanted to restore his after he died. But my aunt got it and it has been rusting away in Hick land for years.
