Default Painting the stockers

I've been staring at my fa5 a lot recently (I love the look of a sedan in white) and the stock rims are just too boring.

I started looking at rims, but I'm really not prepared to be spending 1200+ just for a set of rims that will get curb rashed and be gone when I sell my civic in a few years.

I'm thinking painting the stock ones might not be so bad, since I'm a cheapy. Black seems kind of boring, and my stance on black rims with a red lip - played out. Anyone think painting them taffy white and then clear-coating them a few times for a thick coating of protection would look good? I know the white rims on the JDM civic sedan looks like pure sex, but I'm not so sure about the stockers going white.

Sorry man, got caught up in the fun...

Any ways, I honestly think White on White would look just a little too washed out. If you do it white, the rim will need a darker offset to set the rims apart from the car rather than making it look like a blob of whiteout.

Try a black lip, or even (dark)blue. I'm just toying with thoughts in my head though...who wants to photoshop?

For Gold rims one a while car (especially an integra), but I seriously doubt painting the stock rims gold would come out well at all.

Powdercoat them white.. they'll clean up easier and be more durable than painting.

only if its for auto-x and you are trying to remian in Gstock

even then, stock wheels should remain their stock color. not get spray painted or powdercoated
