Default AC expansion valve need help

I would like for someone to point me in the direction of, a manual or write-up about removing the evaporator and changing the expansion valve and drier. Any help is appreciated.

To remove the evaporator, you need to pull the dashboard. It's enclosed in a plastic case next to your heater core. The drier should be in the left foot well. If you have power steering, should be located under the resivior.

My assumption is that his compressor blew and he's changing it out or already has. Typically when a compressor goes, small metal parts can end up all over the AC system. These small metal parts can clog up the expansion valve. In addition, if you've left the AC system open to air for a short length of time, the AC drier, which contains desiccant, will absorb moisture from the air and become useless.
