is it true or not that 92-95 model civic parts are interchangeable? whether its 2 door,3doorhatch or 4 door? does it matter?

i hear yes its all interchangeable and i here no you cant use 4 door part for hatch or 2 door


EXAMPLE: i went to the honda dealership to get jdm yellow corner lights for my 93 hatch. there were some on showcase by "APC" for 1992-1995 honda civic 4 door. so i told the guy what i needed and he told me like 30 bucks a piece. well the show case ones were 14 bucks a piece. and i didnt care that it was APC, you woudnt be able to tell otherwise. i told the guy what about those on the showcase...so he goes ad grabs them and looks up the part numbers that were on the box and the part number for my hatch and they didnt match up and he said it wouldnt work.


so please someone clear this up for me. woud those have worked for my hatch even though it said 4 door

 

in your case with the corner lights, no they will not fit.

2/3 door civics can interchange body parts only on the front and doors.
4 doors are not even comaptibile when it comes to body panels.

but as for engine, some suspension, and some interior parts, yes they are interchangable.

What he said. The front ends on the 4 door and 2/3 door civics are completely different. Head lights, fenders, hood and bumper are all different.

Most of the mechanical parts are interchangable throughout the models (except exhaust) but most of the exterior parts are not.

Take the taillights. The 2 door and 4 door are the same but the 3 door is different.
