tryin to make the y8 manifold work in obd1 need help

Default tryin to make the y8 manifold work in obd1 need help

this issue im having it that obd1 requires the IAT sensor and the is no place for one on the y78 manifold what can i do about this.

Drill a hole in your intake pipe, use two long zipties. Cut the head off one ziptie and use it in the other hole on the sensor. You'll also need to extend the sensor wires using some 18 gauge wire, solder, heat shrink, split loom and electric tape.

To do the PCV cleanly you'll need to get one from a 96+ Y8. On the later Civics the elbow valve in the breather box is also a PCV.

I asked my homeboy who is an EMS dyno tuner if moving the sensor would have any effect on the fuel calibration. He said the IAT sensors are not a huge factor because they respond so slowly to changes in air temp. Reset your ECU and you're all set.

im nto really going for clean because this is my auto-x car so could i plant it in the intake tube (much easier to replace if i f up my drilling)

the IAT is a useless plug, and it can be left hanging down, and it wont affect the car in any way, but if it bothers you that much, drill a small hole in your intake tube, shove it in tight, and seal it with some gasket sealent on the edges.
