Falken Azenis tires VS Eagle F1 GSD3 for a 1996 civic.
Looking for a good street tire, but dont really want to spend alot... the F1s are about 300 dollars more, yet I heard the Azenis are better in dry traction...whats the final verdict? Any personal reviews someone can give...
im just going by what i heard too, which is the falkens wear fast. also i think this is the wrong forum. good luck with your tire though. check tirerack.com and read reviews if they have those tires.
The Goodyear tires are the ones that I will buy once I get some $$ because it won 1st place in Car and Driver...And excellent reviews all around.
I've always heard azenis are the best street tire you can get as far as traction goes. But I also heard they wear extremely fast......thus is the trade off of a "sticky" tire.
The Falkens have tremendous dry traction for a street tire. The Goodyear also has great dry traction. The Goodyear also has awesome wet traction that the Azenis can't match. I run Falkens on my car and I love them. They are awesome when it's dry and they seem fine in the rain as long as you are sensible.
I'd buy the Eagle over the Azenis for the street. My Azenis 615's were great for a couple of thousand miles, but after that they got really bad on wet pavement, although they stayed very good on dry.
I'll be buying the Hankook Ventus RS2 for my next street performance tire though, good price and I've been hearing a lot of good things about them.
