Default antenna removal ... lost parking lights

are the lights connected with the antenna in any way? because i removed my fixed antenna today. i unplugged the antenna lead and unscrewed the antenna. it was a simple process. however, i had a feeling that it would affect my lihts in some way, and it did. now, my parking lights do not work and my headlights do.

Maybe the power antenna actuator and the parking ligths are wired together? What you're describing doesn't sound like it should cause your parking lights to go out, check your fuses.

it was a fixed antenna. i have some pictures for you.

here, i screwed the antenna off. it was screwed onto that hole you see there.

here is a picture of how it looked behind the panel.

i disconnected the antenna here

i unscrewed the the screw that you saw in the first picture and pulled the antenna straight out.

i don't kno why this process would have effected my parking lights in any way. please help out if you can.

Fuses? Maybe you bumped something or there is an exposed wire...**** i dunno maybe they were out before you did it? Did you unplug the antenna wire from behind the stereo, maybe your radio wiring has a short or isn't insulated well. But there is a fuse for parking lights, and yes its normal to be separate from the head lights. Sorry I don't know which fuse it is offhand but I do know its the inside fuse panel lol, good luck!

Maybe while you were fixing some wires on the Antenna, you've messed up with some of the wires on the parking lights. Based on my knowledge It's not possible the two will be affected by each other. But Mercedes head lights are somewhat affected by its parking lights due to some distinctive setup on it.
