West Coast road trip.. SoCal to Seattle

....First time uploading pics so dont know whats up with the banner, sorry....

Took 01 #957 on a little road trip to see friends and family up in Seattle from SoCal. As shes not a DD she can afford to make a trip like this.

Drove most of Hwy 1.... California coast going up, and Wa. & Or. on the way back. The drive was amazing, the caR is truly built for a road like this. Ill let the pics speak for themselves. Enjoy

Drove 16 hrs the first day and stopped in the Redwood national forest.
Then 8 hours to Hood River Or. from there. Then 4 more hours to seattle.....

This one here is of the Astoria Bridge in the back ground spanning the mouth of the Columbia River which divides the Washington State and Oregon boarder. Driven over that thing hundreds of times. While driving over it it is much higher than it looks huh?

This image is along the coastal highway in Oregon, about fifteen miles South of Canon Beach and about five miles South of Oswald State Park. I've camped on the side of the road here a few times because of the camp sights at Oswald filling up before I got there. Great surfing. This gives you a good view of the Southern Coast along with looking down on the town of Manzinita. Cool picture

Did you stop in Seaside and check it out at all? Lots of cool shops there. Did you stop at the Sea Lion caves in Southern Oregon?

I recently drove from San Francisco to L.A. via highway 1 and there is some spectacular views to see overthere

I grew up in Seattle and spent summers going to Seaside and Cannon Beach so I had to drive through both. Made sure and spent time in SF, Monterey, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara too..

man that looks like fun. I'll be going on a leisurely roadtrip from bellingham wa back to san francisco next week, but not in the r.

i did the drive up highway 1 from LA to SF in a lancer (base model) rental car and just kept wishing that it could have been an ITR instead

Thanks guys... The drive was unreal. Id recommend it to anyone with a R. Took about 400 or so pics.
Slept in the R for a couple hours one night....
And the Gas... alot. Still way less then when i do the drive up I-5 in my 4Runner
