This past weekend, i installed my Password JDM foglights with the help of a friend, HT'er: SeanJohn1802. They were installed on my NHBP 2006 Civic EX Coupe. The process took about 3 hours from start to finish and was pretty much straight forward. The foglights are pretty much the same as the OEM foglights for a fraction of the cost.

As far as installation, we used the collegehils honda .pdf instructions and everything went well.

The only differences between the Password JDM Foglights and the OEM Foglights is that the housings are yellow and light up yellow compared to the OEM's which light up white. Another difference is the fact that the Password foglights are independent of whether or not the headlights are turned on. For example: the password foglights can be turned on with parking lights, drls, and/or highbeams. OEM foglights turn on only with the use of the headlights being on. Furthermore, there are 2 less wires than the OEM foglights which was nothing major (just bypass those steps in the collegehills instructions).

Pros:
Fraction of the cost of OEM. The fitment is the same as OEM. Increased visibility. No wire splicing is needed.

Cons:
Password did not provide instructions. Wire ties with clips were not provided(ended up using tape which yeilded same results, not noticeable to any extent).
When OEM foglights are in use. A foglight indicator is turned on the instrument panel, password foglights no foglight indicator turns on.

In the end, i am happy with the purchase of the foglights. I will have pictures up as soon as I wash my car later on in the evening. I hope this review is helpful to those contemplating whether or not to buy passwordjdm foglights or the OEM foglights. If you guys have any questions contact me on aim or pm me.

if you buy this kit and you have an 07 si where do you put the switch? there is only one spot for it and that is where the VSA goes

different kits..
the 07+ fogs come with the switch on the stalk of the steering column.

people with an 07 coupe are SOL. If you were to go with the OEM foglights, Honda provides you with a switch that attaches to your light switches.

unfortunately, Password JDM does not provide the same switch that OEM 07 foglights come with. until Password JDM makes an application for 07 Coupes, 07 owners should stay away from Password JDM foglights unless you plan on custom fabbing something up.

Wow....i paid half the price of the passjdm fogs and got the same thing on ebay. I never knew how much more the pwjdm ones were until now.

FYI, the honda OEM installation guide works fine, but you gotta skip a few steps because of the custom harness that Password put together, no biggie.. like Justin said, the Pro is with the setup the foglights are independant but the Con is you don't have the cool foglight indicator next to the headlight indicator

SeanJohn1802(Daniel) I believe has pictures of the interior switch.

As far as the housings go...it seriously takes 30seconds for each housing using a dremel. piece of cake. If you have specifics about cutting the housing out, ask SeanJohn1802 since he took care of this step.

I don't think light is leaking from behind the housing, it appears that way in the picture because of the angles and daytime pictures. it looks 852310 times better at night time.

Yea dude looks awesome. I have my damn OEM foglights just sitting in a box at home waiting to install em. And the reason for waiting is the lighting:

Does anyone have silverstar ultras for thier headlights and have fog lights?

What kind of H11 do you guys have in your fogs to match with the silverstar ultras?

I want the fogs and headlights to have the same color light. I think it looks tacky if it isnt unless its like a totally different color like the jdms are.

Do I have the wrong harness? I am trying to install the Password JDM fogs in my 07 sedan, but when I get to the part where I install my switch harness, it doesn't make sense.

I am following the instructions from collegehillshonda.com, but they do not make any mention of the harness having these 2 blue plugs. Where do they go? All the rest has been pretty easy to do. I am stuck!!

 

i have no clue if the coupe's harness is different than the sedan's harness.
