Default Park doesn't work anymore!~92 Honda Accord LX

Hey there, i have a 1992 honda accord LX 2.2L w/ 165,000 miles on it. Ever since i got it, about 15,000 miles ago, it was kind of, but not too hard, to shift the car into Park. It was always rough. And basically yesterday i shifted it into park and my accord started rolling backwards, making clicking noises like it's trying to stop the car but something is broken. Is this bad for my transmission? Is it an easy or hard fix? Is it expensive to fix? What do you think is broken on it? If any one of you can answer theses questions i would appreciate it SO MUCH!. thanks for your time.

Sincerely,
Troy Decker

my 91 ex did that for a bit. it was fine at first, then started to be tough to get all the way into park. man, as i write this i'm trying to remember how this worked itself out.. . .
i'm pretty sure it was resolved when i installed my stereo and had to remove the center console, something had gotten in the way of the shifter moving far enough to put the car in park.
i'd suggest loosening the console and playing with the shifter. if you can get it in park when the console is loose, then something's blocking the shifter. if not, consider checking your linkage between the shifter and the transmission because it sounds as though something is just not moving enough to be doing what its supposed to.
if it rolls and you hear clicking - thats a pin (probably plastic) that isnt going all the way through a gear to lock it in park, dont let it do that or you'll wear it down and it wont work anymore. (my mechanic yelled at me to always use your parking brake with an automatic or it'll break)

otherwise - i have a transmission that'll slide right into your car ( i'd even give you the honda-tech.com discount!)

good luck
