Default Breaking In Your New Si

I know some people just run the hell out of there cars right when they get it but i dont want to... how do you guys break in your cars before u start pushing it?

I followed the recommended break in proceedure spelled out in the owner's manual. Other folks have their own methods, but I felt it best to follow the book in case any warranty issues surfaced.

yes search is your friend but most of us drove it hard from the start i get great mpg,runs strong etc just break it in how your gonna drive it most of the time just don't redline like a maniac for the 1st 600 miles don't be worried so much good luck.

I drove it like a race car!!!!! A good bit of my buddies dont take it easy when thay first get there car and im like them one guy has a 97 gti and ran the **** out of itr ight off and he has 140.000 on it with no problems at all. this is my 3rd civic and I have had no issue' at all driving hard. thats what VTEC is for LOL not a big deal

i drove it softly till 400 miles, then i drove all the way up to the v-tec engage point just to hear it until 500.

i beasted it once a day past 500 now im at almost 1000 and i vtec it all the time!
