I think you made a smart decision on getting rid of the Si, but please don't tell me you traded it in for only $16,000 and paid $12,000 for that Camry. If so I hope they used plenty of lube. Your Camry is worth no more than $11,000 from a dealer (assuming it is the top model XLE, has every available option, and is in excellent condition) and you could've gotten at least $17,000 for your Si had you been willing to sell it private party. I am guessing you had to finance a ton of negative equity into this purchase which will end up biting you in the *** in the long run. I am sorry you got hosed by the stealership but you can take it as a learning experience.

well thanx for bashing me guys. and no I had postive equity but my car had some dings and a big scratch on the bumper. I don't feel like I got hosed as the car is a rare car as it is a V6 5spd with leather. and has a 50k on the clock

Agreed, worked at the stealership as a tech and saw how much not only the service dept was ripping people off but also the car sales guys. The camry is a very very smooth car, I know. but paying 12 for that one was really high. Also the gas mileage on that V6 is gonna blow. Atleast the SI had 6spd, but yeah you were getting rid of it. Could've bought an Audi for 12k if you like luxuary. If its money on school, I would've sold the SI on craigslist and bought an older civic or if you like the family car stuff a 98-02 accord for like 8k.

^ ROFL ...
ok first off you traded for that camry? I was thinking at least maybe the newer ones ..
Second ... you got probably the ugliest combo known to manking. Green w/ beige .. >< Even an NSX in that color combo is not wanted.
Lastly .. rare Camry? Do you think that'll help w/ the resale or something lol. Reliable as it is, its a freaking grandpa car .... LOL

Why in holy hell would you buy a 5 spd family car. You'll get less for your trade in if you trade THAT in. Hope you don't plan on fixin up that camry.
Given your situation I guess it would be a wise decision.......but I think you could have gotten a better deal on both vehicles.

Honestly... For the money you spent on that
albeit its a decent car, we drove a V6 5spd camry to tail of the dragon one year , pulling motorcycles
You could have picked up a certified pre owned scion xB for a little A to B car
Whatever floats ur boat.

Moral of the story is exactly that... the whole floatin boat thing. You'd think he'd keep the fact that he axed a SI for a older geezer-mobile with a fugly color combo on the down-low... or at the very least not talk about it on a Honda forum!? BTW, next time its not necessarily a good idea to buy new, trade in, buy used.
