Tire Selection , Which one is better??
of the 3 you mentioned, they rank thus:
Hankook z212
Yokohama ES100
Falken Ziex 512
The z212 is a very sticky summer tire with a alot of grip on tap, not *quite* on par with the Falken Azenis, but damn close. Pretty short treadlife, maybe 15k miles give or take.
ES100 is a budget sumer tire, lower grip threshhold than the z212 at the tradoff of a higher treadlife. I got plenty of use out of a used set i had, and heard of people with 30k+ miles on a set. Its been around for a while now, and there are other tires out there that are similar in performance and price if not a bit better- Kumho SPT, Dunlop DZ101, etc
The Ziex 512 is crappy example of an all season tire with lower performance levels than either of the other two in any conditions save for snow/freezing temperatures. If you have to use the tires in snow, you'd be better off with the Kumho ASX, one of the best all seasons available for pretty cheap.
since treadlife is a concern, I would go with a budget summer tire, ES100, SPT DZ101 etc. They all have pretty similar performance characteristics, but in many sizes the SPT is cheaper

Ok,
The Hankook aren't that great, I would go with the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 which better in everyway possible. It has great dry performance, excellent wet performance and should last 30K.
The Es100 is a good tire but the Kumho SPT is better in everyway possible. It has a bit better dry performance but excellent wet performance (alot better then the ES100). Also you could get probably 35-40K. The SPT is also cheaper then the ES100!
The Ziex-512, the most shittiest all season tire you can probably buy! If you need all season, I would look at the Kumho ASX which is a much better tire then the 512.

If money is no object then the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. If on a budget the Kumho SPT!
I have the SPT for the street and the Azenis RT615 for the auto-x!

Not a horrible tire, but not better than the Ecsta SPT. Get the Ecsta SPT if you are looking to stay in that price range.

Except price. :D
Car&Driver's tire test put the Hankook ahead of the Goodyear in the dry autocross test, but it fell behind the goodyear in braking tests and anything where there was water on the ground.

I haven't had the Fuzion, but I can vouch for the SPTs.
If you can find them, get them. They're a great tire for the price. They perform well in the rain and provide excellent performance in the dry.

Assuming you are referring to a '98 Civic Coupe, you can use either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.
Of those two tires, the SPT is better. By far.
For more information about the best choices in summer tires in those sizes, see this previous post, which was written for the ITR but also applies to any '97-00 Civic with 15" wheels.
