Default 02 sensor I suppose?

I'm having a problem, I some what know what it already is but I'm still unsure. My friend and I recently added some headers to my 98 accord. But after we did that I noticed that my engine light came on. So we back tracked and saw that one of my 02 sensors were out. The problem is where I think the 02 sensor is suppose to be there isnt enough room around theres a small space between the engine mount where Im hoping the 02 sensors should be. So how am I suppose to get the 02 sensor to fit? Would drilling a hole in the engine mount cause any problems just so it would fit or was I suppose to keep something on my factory headers that would have allowed it to fit? Now it seems that I hit a certain speed the car seems to want to cut off then all of a sudden give a short boost. What is the worst case seneraio if this doesnt get fit any time soon?

i dunno what worst case scenario, but i can almost positively say your getting terrible gas mileage, and you might be burning rich or lean.
