Default B18B Block..What's all needed to build..?

so i recently picked up a bare b18b block..
i already have a good running b18 in my car but i thought it would be a fun project to build a motor of my own..
i, myself, am a complete newbie when it comes to internals and builds but i have alot of friends who are gonna help me out..
first off, i need a shopping list..
i know for a fact that i'm going to be building it NA non-vtec.. i dont need ridiculous power, just want a strong reliable motor..
keep in mind, i only have the bare block..
include anything and everything needed..
(crank, rods, pistons, etc etc)

B18B block? You could do a lot with that. I got the same block and I chose to go LS VTEC with a 93 GSR head. With the right combo of block internals, I made my **** quick. If I were you I would pick up a VTEC head. You would get the response you want out of a motor and you don't have to worry about it breaking on you unless you're mobbing every day all day(that's how I blew my last B18B block). In mine, I went with B16 12.8:1 pistons with Eagle rods and crankshaft. You can buy a stroker kit from http://www.briancrower.com for a B18B, just be sure to go with the high compression set up unless you're planning on boosting it. Hope this helps ya out.

First give us a figure of what your power goals are going to be. Remember, parts aren't going to be cheap and neither are the tools. Good luck

What kind of compression would you see with a B18B block with LS rods and P30 pistons and a stock B18B head? What would you need to tune this and have it reliable enough to be a daily driver?
