Default uncontrollable jerking at low revs

when in traffic and idling in first and second gear sometimes it will jerk really badly. then when i accelerate sometimes the revs go up but the car wont move then the jerking starts.
car only done 16k miles, year 2000, well maintaned and serviced regulalr. any help help would be appreciated, cheers!!

Had the same problem.... search for map Whack, because it might be the map sensor

that explains it all. your clutch is slipping. 16k miles and its already gone? the previous owner did not know how to drive.

it could be the throw out bearing too... the problem is in that area..

I know what he is talking about guys, my S did it sometimes, it seemed to do it more on hot days for some reason or another. Its not necessarily when you let the clutch out, you can be doing like 10mph at a creep on the freeway and it will just start jerking. Now there are 2 things i found i could do to stop it was either push the clutch in, or hit the gas depending on the traffic and that would also correct it. Dunno if this is what yours is doing or not, just my experience.

This gave it away, even though it could be a combo of slipping clutch and a MAP sensor that needs whacking.

It is when your filter/intake/entrance of intake, whatever you want to call it, is exposed to extensive and constant heat.

its kinda self explanitory. it gets soaked with heat.
