i have a 97 civic sedan and i bought a 96-98 sir style front lip from streetstyler.com and it fits funny. does anyone else have this problem?
notice near the wheel well. its too big so when i mounted it i had to raise the ends up just to screw it in. just wondering if anyone is as dumb as me to buy from here?

 

Knock off will never fit rite. lets put it that way so thiers really no problem with it. its just the fact that its a cheap knock off and aftermarket

Every "Style" part I've ordered from JDMsh!t has fit as good or better than the original.

It all depends on the manufacturer of the knock-off.

I've never even heard of that company.

 

yea. you get what you pay for. i payed 85 bucks so obviously i got an part that fit 85% good. haha i should have researched more, but looks like ill just buy a whole new lip somewhere else.

i've never heard of problems with JDMsh!t's fitment.

I myself have certainly not had any.

I've installed 2 mugen lips, 3 ctr grills and one ctr rear lip from them and all fit flawlessly.

havent heard anything bad so it sounds real good.

 

wings west fits perfert. i have a rs lip on my hatch and it fits awesome, also its made out of urathane. not that cheap abs plastic crap. pricey but worth the money.

 

I got my CTR style lip from streetstyler also, it fits nice imo

First off, you mounted your SiR lip really ******* weird.

I ordered mine from JDMSh!t, and it was a little long as well. I just have it not sunk completely on both sides, there's a little gap.

"Prefect" fitment .... I'm going to have to say no, from my personal experience. One "Mugen" urethane and one "SiR" urethane .... neither fit quite right. I don't have the cash right now to replace it, so I live with it. I had to drill out all the holes bigger than they popped out, three of the tabs didn't line up, so I had to drill new holes in them, and the sides are a little too long.

They make a good product for the money, but it's far from perfect.

thats not even a SiR lip...isnt that a knock off 96-98 type R lip? The SiR lip is suppose to mount under the bumper....like the one on the green hatch

this is tru... thats not an sir lip thats a type r style lip

 

Upon further inspection .....

Streetstyler doesn't even sell "SiR" lips. The only people I know of that sell knockoff SiR lips is JDMSh!t.

 

His lip on my computer just looks like a strip of black at the bottom of his bumper that blends in with the shadow under the car and blends in with the lower grill opening.

 

Streetstyler.com sucks. bought a type-r lip from em and it broke a whole month later. But like they say you pay for what you get. So i bought a new lip from Password, and im happy with it. Fit better and has held up for a year now

 

From what I understand, be happy you ever even got it. I've heard of many complaints of StreetStyler never sending items (often because the customers finally cancel after so long) or taking forever to send them.

 

lol, my car hit the freeway railing and it survived with just scratches on the lip.

i aim'd them on aim everyday until he told me it shipped. it came like less than 2 weeks

Heeltoe sells real SiR lips.
