Default struts

My rear passenger strut is bad. I was told by Midas that I have to replace all four, not just the rear. Is this true? And how can I be sure that it's the strut that is bad? -2000 Civic EX-

you can just replace the rear if you want, its your car. they probably suggested all 4 maybe cause of your mileage or something. most shops like that do it. but you can bounce the back of you car see if there is any irregular movement, or jack it up to see if they are leaking. is your ride real bumby? how much miles you got?

YOu can replace 1 if you want. It won't hurt your car at all, the one shock will just work a bit better than the older ones.

Strut replacement is simple, just a few bolts and it comes out.

If you get it done by midas, ask for your old parts back!

Big word on that one. Always ask for them back.
