like someone else on here, i bought the ebay yellow oem fogs, and i'm wondering how i can wire them so i can turn the fog lights on and off independently of all headlights and parking lights.

 

You'll need the toggle switch. Just like the OEM model comes with. You could probably manufacture your own wiring setup for an aftermarket toggle switch, but that's completely up to you.

the kit came with an OEM switch and wiring harness but in the installation manual it says you have to turn the headlights on to use the fog lights. am i confused about the installation manual? I want to be able to turn the fog lights on and off without having the headlights or parking lights on.
