Default obd0-obd1 conversion harnes difference? Vtec doesnt work

Ok. My girl friend just got a crx si with a b16 in it. It was converted to obd1 before she bought it. The car is throwing 3 codes, 6, 21, and 2. 6 is the water temp sensor, 2 is the #2 o2 sensor, which I dont get why its throwing that code. Its a p30 ecu. And 21 is the vtec solenoid spool valve.

Now I was trying to diagnose why vtec wouldnt work. I used a jumper wire across to the vtec solenoid and it clicked, so I know that works. Then I used my dvom to check the ohms on the wires. I got 15-20 ohms of resistance on the wires going from the ecu to the solenoid. And I checked once last night on the ohms of the solenoid itself and I got about the same readings, but then when I tried it again today it had no reading at all.

So I traced the wires back to the wire harness and everything seemed to be legit. But I wanted to make sure, so I grabbed my conversion harness out of my civic that is also converted and I started comparing the wires. There seemed to be a couple differences. Mine is from rywire and everything works fine. This one my girl friends crx is a different company im guessing. It has orange wires where as mine has gray. Do you know who used orange wires? And should I try to rewire the whole damn harness or should I just order a rywire harness and know that its going to be right?
