anyone have a b16a with a skunk 2 intake manifold? i have one but havent intstalled it yet. i was wondering if the stock studs will fit or do i need longer studs to bolt it into the manifold? cuz it looks pretty thick from a stock manifold..
i'm using all my stock stuff bolts ect... but i have a dashpot and another part that i don't know what it is (it mounts under the TB on my stock b16a1). anyone w/ pics of a b16 1st gen w/ the manifold installed?

Stock fuel rail studs are too long, I had to use washers on my ITR manifold. Going to the dealer tomorrow oder the right ones. You'll also need a GSR fuel rail or be like me and spend money on the aftermarket. Copy and paste to link on ITR manifold

r7, which car is that CAI for? Looks nice
. I was gonna lay off the mods for a little bit, but I may go and pick up one of these IM's. Anyone bore their throttlebody or get a bigger one?

yo wtf are these??? this is the dashpot and the other thing that i can't figure out what it is... there's nowhere to mount either. do i just get rid of them???
and here's my manifold so far...
one of the studs for the fuel rail cross thredded when i tried to double nut it so i have to replace both.. do that after N8. to all who are going see ya there. hope my minime lasts.

yeah, don't need em, the one on the right came from the old manifold, and was located below the throttle body, right?
i just looped the hose that connects to it, back to the coolant thing.. . works fine.. the one on the left is from the throttle body, not ? cold idle i think... dont need it .. mine still idles at 1500 when it's cold..

yes, the fuel rail studs are too long. the right ones are itr fuel rail studs. or you can use washers or pull out the studs and use bolts. i used itr studs cuz washers would put the rail too far from my injectors.
no, you can't use the b16a fuel rail. get a stock gsr, itr, or even ls. they're cheap and easily available.
yes, the manifold studs are long enough...just enough.
the dashpot thingy you can ditch. the thing on the left is the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve). it holds coolant and keeps your idle real high to help with cold starts. you can either get a 94+ LS throttle body (has FITV on the TB) or you can just leave it out. most leave it out. but in real cold weather you might have to hold the gas down to warm up the car.
i used the itr throttle cable and itr throttle cable bracket. but you can just modify your b16a cable bracket to clear the TA sensor, and just use the exsisting cable.
same thing goes for itr manifold in EFs except you would need a 92+ IACV.
