ok i just did a timing belt,water pump, and headgaskit job on my 92 si..Ok when i start it it runs fine but when i give it gas it wants to die it boga really bad..and if i try and drive it.ha ..no power at all!!!..i played with the Throttle cable and it stays the same..anyone know whats up?

 

i looked on here to see if anyone has had the same thing happen and i have not seen anything..does it sound like the head is warped or is it timing??

 

ok i just let in run for around 20mins and it started to overheat, so i guess the head is bad

 

i would dbl check the timing belt sounds like you set the cam timing for a 1.5 and not a 1.6 that will cause no power and bogging and yes it will make the engine run run since it is working harder to compensate for the retarded timing of about 23 degs.
