Holy Testicle Tuesday..... New Tranny Fluid ...!
Well I went over to Honda in NJ today to get a fresh oil change ( wasn't due by wanted to get one anyway & had the trans flushed and put in the new Honda MTF..
Just pulling out of the dealership was
Feels like a brand new car and the shifts are ULTRA smooth, i could barely even feel the form of the shifter zero notchiness. Dealership was about 20-30 minutes from my house so nothing crazy in terms of getting on it . But If it was a pepsi challenge you'd totally notice it.
And get this
if you call your honda stealer and want a flush... its 99 bux
if you walk to parts... buy the trans fluid & washers its 12 dollars & 50 for service to do it
... so just by going to parts.... followed by service u save 30ish

We only charge 59 for a trans service. i did mine like 2 weeks ago and i couldnt agree with you more mike...
With my other FI Hondas I had to use slightly heavier synthetic oil to help it last. The tranny runs hotter and is under additional stress. Prob have to change out the MTF more frequently now.
I changed mine awhile back with M1 Syn. Big difference in shifts. I had read that they were overfilling the trans. That was the cause of the notchiness and 3rd gear grind
Depends on mileage of the car and driving conditions. Should not make a diff between 06 and 07. Hes FI though, thus more strain on the tranny and added heat.
Will this stop the 2cd gear grinding it happened again to me today and i wasent even punching it when i went into 2cd gear it dosent happen often but when it does its so depressing i was at 3500rpm and it still grinded.

The part numbers are in the FAq that TRE wrote up on how to flush the trans.
I was fortunate enough that John(michael bolton) picked up fluid last week and grabbed me 2 bottles.

Nothing will 100% completely remedy it..
however... it will decrease it from happening substantially.
