Default personal dilemma

I have a 18 month old boy (like to have at least 2 kids) wife (duh) and a house. Right now I've got an '06 Si which I love but...not to practical, I just found a white 5MT fit sport and my buddy at the dealer and I did some preliminary paper work, and this decision has to run quick, any thoughts? I ask you guys because everyone on here has good, honest opinions.

Your Si is a Coupe I take it? The Fit is a really nice car, great gas mileage and 4 doors. Definately more practical, but it would be ultimately up to you. Monthly payment and insurance would be better, which in turn would save you some money for diapers, food, clothing for you baby boy.

Yeah, I've been feeling more like an adult lately (I'll be 30 in July) it may be time to grow up, I just wish they had come out w/ the 4 door Si earlier in'06, bastards.

lol, I hear ya. I've been debating on which vehicle to buy myself. I don't have a wife nor kids yet so... Si is my first choice, but recently been thinking about the Fit or just and EX Coupe. Damn decisions...

A coupe is not a family car. The decision is an easy one.

I like the Fit a lot, but my opinion would be if you can, try striking a deal for a Si Sedan.

That way you still have a Si and you have the room for the Wife and the kids.

If the price is right.

hey man i would say go for it, look at all these pros against owning a si

you have a kid so a 4 dr is more practical to begin with
gas mileage
can purchase regular gas
insurance rates because its not considered a sport car
lower monthly payments

then cons
less value car
109hp 1.5l motor
sunroof, i swear i loved the sunroof in my si

by the way it is now 12ish hours since i traded in my 06 si for my 07 fit....my fit is vivid blue pearl sport 5spd manuel.....and trust me all i said about the pros and cons are by far true.....just make sure what you owe on the your si is less than its worth, cause then they will tack that on to your new payments...i found out the hard way but by like 500 ish in principle of the balance

neways im saving money and i love every penny i save on insurance, monthly payments, and at the pump and there is no better feeling then havin extra dough in the pocket my friend

yeah it felt like summer today and i missed the feeling of a sunroof.

also another pro.. im not sure how much trunk space the Si has.. but im willing to bet the Fit can match it or better it.. even with the rear seats still up. i carted around my cousins little one for a day at the zoo. the stroller and other baby crap fit in the trunk real easy.

on a more personal note.. your anticipation of another kid and having your current one.. and just your whole financial situation.. the money you will save on car payments and insurance will come in handy on rainy days.. IMO that is enough reason in itself. good luck with your decision.

The Fit all the way! It is a great, unique car and really fun to drive. Plus will have plenty of room for the family. and it is unbelievable how much room you get for moving stuff around.

Also, RUSH RULES!
