d15b7 in crx won't start help
Put the motor in and now it won't start. tested starter and its good, changed the ignition switch and still a no go, so what up? any one? Its a d15b7 in a 89 hf converted to Si wiring. Dunno what to do at this point just frustrated....
Well, I dont know how far it goes in the process before it stops. In other words what does it do. There are SOOOOOOOO many reasons a car wont start. Does it crank? Are there any engine codes? If it cranks does it sound a little weak? If it sounds weak, then maybe your battery doesnt have enough cranking power to start it. If it doesnt crank is the starter all hooked up? If nothing happens at all when you turn the key, then check the negative battery cable to see if its tight on the battery terminal, and check the negative battery cable to see if it grounds out on the chassy and also the engine. Check the spark plugs to see if they are gapped right. Check your wires. Make sure the plugs are clicked fully into the ECU. Maybe the distributor cap is bad. Or maybe the rotor is bad.
like i said, many reasons it wont start. Just start checking all that and see what you come up with.
