GSR Power steering fades in cold weather at start up!
Not so much a problem right now but this winter I noticed in very cold temps at start up the power steering would basically fail for a couple of seconds. I would turn the wheel and I could feel the power steering trying to kick in but I had to turn the wheel under my power. After a few seconds things would return to normal. Above 30 - 35 degrees no problems at all.
So this is something I'm probably going to need to look into for next winter. Any suggestions? Cars got 130K and runs like a champ!
Thanks!

my car did it too but it was only when it was about 5 F outside haha...its not something to really worry about since you can do much about it...if its really a concern then take off the belt in the winter because without and circulation of fluid the power steering will burn out...
Thanks for the comment. I'll consider that. But when I first bought the car. (used at around 70K) it didn't have this problem. So I wonder what happened.
