Hey whats up guys i got a 89 si Hatch with a DOHC ZC........the problem is.....well thats if its a problem, When my RPMs start dropping to come to a stop,it throws a cloud of white smoke......now i have aftermarket headers and straight piping to a cheap fart can. Some have told me that the ZCs smoke alot....and its throwing CODE 4(crank position sensor). Just incase it has any ties to that!

lol who ever told you that zc's smoke alot is a really big idiot.. no motor should smoke.. other then the normal smoke when its cold. white smoke... your burning coolant. might be head gasket. fix it right away. your exhaust has nothing to do with it. i dont think your code would either.

 

yeah i agree no motor should smoke.
but zcs are older motors so some of them proli burn a lil oil.
but that doesnt sound like your just burning oil if its alot of smoke

 

My DOHC ZC doesnt blow smoke. white smoke = water.

 

white smoke = antifreeze
black smoke= fuel
blue smoke = oil
