Default Highway grit and waxing the car

Two questions:

1) Whats a good soap / chemical to get that highway grit off of the car? You know, bugs, tar, whatever. I want to find a way to get it off without hurting the paint.

2) Whats the best possible wax to buy to wax my teg? Something that really lasts and applies well.

Thanks

2. Zaino, Klasse, Blackfire <- All Acrylic Polymer sealants

Carnauba waxes have poor duribility, and a very low boiling point. In the hot spring/summer sun, the wax will literly evaporate off your finish.

Zaino and Klasse have much more duribility than blackfire, but blackfire has an amazing shine.

Excellent, so how long do they last? 6 months, a year? I am assuming Blackfire would only last 6 months.

Okay, here's your shopping list.

Z-2 8oz Zaino Bros' Show Car Polish for clear-coated paint . $12.95
Z-5 8oz Zaino Bros' Z-5 Polish for swirl marks & fine scratches . $16.95
Z-6 16oz Zaino Bros' Ultra Clean "Gloss Enhancer" Spray . ..$9.95
Z-7 16oz Zaino Bros' Show Car Wash (concentrate) . ..$7.95
Z-18 4oz Zaino ClayBar (removes airborne & paint contaminants) . $16.95
ZFX 2ml Zaino Flash Cure Accelerator Additive for Z-2, Z-5, Z-3 NEW . $19.95

Strip off old wax with Dawn dish soap (Zaino says to do this, not me, I trust them) claybar the car, using the Z-6 as a lubricant... then wash it with Z-7.

Now mix the ZFX and Z-5 per the instructions... and polish the car. Follow instructions... typically 2-3 coats of Z-5, and then 2-3 coats of Z-2...

Zaino doesn't really "last" it layers on... the more you apply, the better off you are... it's VERY durable though.

In between applications, use the Z-6 Spray to revitalize the shine.
