So I went out to Lunch today with my girlfriend to Red Lobster, great lunch might I add , and afterwards I dropped her off at her house. Then as I was coming down a road that I always drive down, I look in my Rear View Mirror and see lights. I didn't think much of it b/c I never see cops on this road, but I also wasn't paying attention as to what speed I was going… So I pulled over thinking the cop would go around me to go to a fire or something. ****** pulled me over! I was expecting to see a citation since I'm almost 20 and have had a perfect record for 4 years and it was just a local cop. After I talked to the cop for a few minutes and he was complimenting on how nice my car was, he went back to his Ford Explorer with my license, registration and insurance. After listening to a couple songs the cop comes back saying that he gave me a break and only gave me 3 points! I thought it was a little ridiculous… I did realize I was going 53.4 in a 35 (18.6mph over), but he did clock me going downhill.

So I just posted this up to see what other kinds of tickets fellow dc5’ers have gotten, how many points, what speed, what all happened…

 

?? what do you mean how many points?

 

point system might be different in your state. call the dmv and ask them about their point system.

 

I didn't think about other states having different systems, in PA if we get 6 points we lose our license, I have 3 now just from this one ticket

 

from where i live , i never heard of points before .. welll since the cops gave u a break does that mean u still have to pay for the ticket?
