Default CD5: just fixed the light for Drive, but now.....

friend of mine fixed his light bulb recently and now after things was put back together, the gas seems to always read as full. could it have been something he touched back there? or something more serious?

-also,heres another problem. not related, but an OLDER problem that needs confirmation. his speedometer is out of wack. doesnt read at all. sits on zero. since money is tight, can someone help confirm whether it can be fixed or NEEDS to be replaced?

TIA

Might be VSS, most likely though it's the actual speedometer if it's not registering at all.

Let me know, I bought a cluster off ebay to repair my temp gauge and as a result have a Speedo, fuel, and RPM gauge (plastic cover too) in awesome condition (i believe 89k on the speedo)

Yeah I dunno exactly WHAT was wrong with it, I just know that as soon as I replaced the circuitry on the back (it just pulls off) and it fixed it

if you pull the needles out or even remotely mess with them that gauge is done for lol..I dont know why but they are super sensitive I put some gauges on mine once and it messed all of them up but my tach and speedo and my speedo was off like 8 miles an hour...just go to your local junkyard and get a used cluster for like 50 bucks or less
