Small brake problem and i'm out of ideas as to what it is........
A couple days ago, i had a guy pull out in front of me so i had to do a panic stop. brakes worked, everything was fine. Just pissed me off if anything cause i hate that crap.
The next day, i got in the car and left for work. Something felt diff. about the brakes but I just figured, ok, it's 4 am and i'm just tired and trippin. Anyways, later that day i realized that the brake pedal is hard and is touchy but it stops. 1st thought was damn, did i lose vaccum? Nope, can't hear any leakes, the hose is good. How's the fluid? i'm good on fluid. It's a little dirty and i need to replace it but nothing too bad or out of the ordinary. Is something stuck somewhere? nope, calipers are straight, pads are great, slight warpage on the front rotors but nothing big.
The car is a 2002 w/ 51k on it. Only mod's are 17" wheels with larger tires. nothing else.
Anybody have any ideas? I'm taking it to the dealer today but would rather not. I'll bleed the brakes tomorrow but other then that i have no idea.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you

you just pushed the piston... meaning your pads are closer to the disc now... caliper piston doesnt retrack.. its normal and your just not use how the pedal feel..
it should be fine if its not dragging.. you didnt notice that before cuz you prolly didnt apply brake that hard.. the piston is gradually pushing when pads wears out and piston dont retrack..
