Hey Folks, anyone know of a 4th Gen VTEC H22 with the jackson raceing supercharger fitted? Their web site says they fit the H22 engines but only give the 5th gen as an option. Anyone know why?
Just got my lude shiney again after a bending it and now I want to ruin the competition with a blower.

Your blower and your firewall will be in competition with eachother.

 

Actually I think the strut tower is also in competition for some space. It can be done though. You just need a special bracket. There is someone who makes it but I can't remember where I saw it.

Go search the old supercharger threads I am sure you will find a 4th gen with a JRSC

 

The JDM Prelude is the way to make it easy I believe. Something about the lack of ABS. It has been custom fitted on a USDM 4th gen also.
If I were you, I'd be trying to figure out how to mount a VorTech instead.

it has been done. do a search. its not the firewall thats in the way but rather the strut tower. im thinking of doing this myself. saturday i might talk to a guy here that did it. im gonna get some opinons on it.

Vortech does not make a centrifugal supercharger for the 4th gen or the h22. If you have proof then show us.

For some reason, my pics dont work on that other site so here they are. Again, you CAN fit a 5th gen supercharger in a 4th gen. The problem is with the strut tower. The bracket fixes this. and then there are a couple of other things you have to worry about. This dyno was right after it was installed. The car had absolutely no bolt ons. Just the SC, 550cc RCs and Hondata s200 with generic map. Was not able to tune at all due to time and belt needed to be tightened at time of run.

 

does the blower bolt on top of the stock runners?

Sounds like jealousy, but at least I do all my own work and not take it to a shop then CLAIM i did it.

Oh and i never joined your club, btw. Im sorry you have such a poor attitude towards me, but ill still come visit a couple of my friends up there. Ill try to be nice to you, but i guess you can be the lesser man and hold a grudge.

 

Any numbers? Havent been able to find anyone who has done this who ACTUALLY has dynoed there car. Plenty of people claim things though.

I have a boost leak that i just cant track down. but if i get that fixed and i just got crome, so tuned too. ill do a few runs

I guess you know it all man, its no secret that I don't do all my own work. My time is worth more for some jobs than my shop will charge.......Next time you come up, don't forget your nerdy AutoX helmet to show-off to everyone you dodge cones on Sundays!!

The AutoCrossers in my club aren't nerds that show off their open faced helmets like a piece of art under their hood.

To answer ur question....it will fit with some finagling,like said before its the fire wall issue,but Ive seen a 4th gen here in town with one.
