Need a title

Ok, so i just bought my first bike, a 1978 Honda Hawk and my friend has no title for it. Quick question.... How do i go about getting a title for it?

find the person that has the title.
If it was every titled in your friend's name then i'd concult your local department of licensing.

Wash it in a state that does not require a title to get a registration.
