Help with my 91 civic gremlins.
I have a 91 civic DX that has really been hating on me since day one. The main problem with the car now is that it will randomly cut out while I am driving on the freeway and sometimes just shut off. If it shuts off it will re-start, then be fine for a little while. I have replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The problem is never consistant though. It will work fine one day, and then the next it will stutter and cut out really bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem you are describing sounds like it is very likely that the main fuel relay is flaking out on you. It is on the drivers door pillar, under the plastic, just above the pull to unlock the hood. They have a problem with broken solder joints and cause all sorts of grief. You can take it apart and resolder it, which might solve your problem, or you can get a new one and replace it.
The only other possibility, most likely, is if the fuel pump is on the verge of giving up. However, with what you described, it sounds more like the fuel pump relay.

it is the dizzy, its a part in the distributer that is going bad, i have had this problem on both of my ef's, take it apart and replace the small 2x2 piece(brain fart and i cant think what it is called) it has the 3 little plugs on it and you should be golden

I believe you're referring to the ignitor. I haven't seen a car shut off randomly b/c of the ignitor before-I have seen tack twitch from faulty ignitors though.

Correct, a bad ignitor causes the tach to flutter or not work at all.
Also the main relay usually causes a problem with starting, not running. Bad main relays usually make the car not start when its hot. But swapping out both with a known good can easly rule those out. If you still have a problem then...thats a problem.
I assume your not throwing any codes?
