I am planning on purchasing this sub along with a Panasonic MP3 headunit. What types of amps do you guys reccomend for this setup? Should I get a mono-channel amp or a 2 channel and bridge it? I don't want to spend a lot of money on an amp - somewhere around $300. What would be the best bang for the buck? The sub is 4ohms and the power range is 50-450 watts rms. Thanks

 

From what I've heard, you need to feed the solo's a lot of power. Get the most you can afford.

 

Oh and you might want to look into MTX amps. Fairly inexpensive, and fairly powerful, good quality.

why L5? if you are goin solo baric go all out and get the L7. well that is what i am doing. ahhahahahaha. also with my L7 i am going to use the kicker KX800.2. what you think?

 

Get a soundstream amp. 2 channel with at least 250 watts rms per channel at 2ohms.

I have the kicker 500.3. front two go to my bostons, no rear speakers, 12" solo sl7 with a wopping 450 WATTS RMS into that bitch.
