Default Whats Next? Cams? What type is the best

Hello again

I've had my S2K for about 30 days now. I've got An V2 INTAKE, DC HEADERS, AND A INVIDIA EXHAUST. But what is next cams? Turbo is a little expensive right now because of my new born but would Cams be the next step. Also what are the best types and what HP gains would I be looking at? I would like to stay the N/A route. Thanks again for your thoughts and advise!

Terry

I agree with everyone, I would get a different header and a set of 4.77 gears and call it a day....

First off, it's just one header, not 2. Second, you will need to upgrade your valvetrain for cams, at least valve springs. You should really think about your plans for the motor and build it all at once. The best way is not to just buy cams, put them in, then pick new pistons and put them in, then maybe change the headgasket. Plan it out and don't buy cheap parts. It's not a matter of who can have the most parts, but who can buy intelligent mods.

yeah, this is a S2000. do not buy cheap, crap parts like DC. spend your money wisely. this is a nice car that only deserves nice parts.

good for a civic(DCSports), there are currently no good proven gains for the money in cams or a header unless you drop serious cabbage for J's exaust parts. It comes down to preference

Doesn't Skunk2 have a good header for the S? I read that they were releasing a 4-2-1 header that paired the primaries in fireing order (1 with 3 and 2 with 4) I saw a pic of a prototype and it looks gnarly enough to be a race header but I think it's CARB legal. anybody know more?
