Default Bumper alignment

I've been bending the metal mount for my CRXs back bumper off and on all day, whacking, pushing/pulling etc, trying to get the bumper to freakin line up with the body of the car. It just will not line up! The bumper itself looks pretty straight.. it's the metal mount that is throwing it off (i think) but can't tell because aside from the rust spots it looks like it should be able to hold the dang bumper on straight. It's extremely annoying. I guess my only solution at this point is to just find a new mounting piece. I see some CRXs with perfectly aligned back and front bumpers and think "wtf?".

So I ask:
How is it possible?!

get a new support, it sound like yours has seen better days. Unless the car was in an accident the bumper supports and bumper should line right up

Unless it was a tiny accedent, I think it's just been bitten by rust. Got in an accedent via the front bumper, though. Totalled. I've got a new bumper for that coming in the morning.. gonna try to bend the metal on the support back myself
